Distribution Mailbox: A distribution mailbox, also known as a distribution list, is used to send emails to a group of recipients simultaneously. It contains a list of email addresses, and when an email is sent to the distribution mailbox, it's delivered to all members of the distribution list.

Access:

Shared Mailbox: Users granted access to a shared mailbox can read, send, and manage emails in the shared mailbox as if it were their own. They can also access other shared mailbox features like calendars, contacts, and tasks.

Distribution Mailbox: Members of a distribution list receive emails sent to the distribution mailbox but do not have direct access to manage the mailbox or its contents. They can only receive and view emails sent to the distribution list.
